About The Project

The design of the Vilnius Stadium reflects the important role the new Stadium will play in the City. As the major public assembly building for the City, its position on top of a hill overlooking the City is appropriate.

It will be an identifying beacon for the area, and as a “state of the art” stadium, the identifying landmark for the City of Vilnius.

The public entries are one of the major architectural features of the Stadium and are positioned prominently in the ceter of each side. Large amounts of glass are proposed in these areas.

This subconsciously attracts spectators to the entrances and when used at night, the glowing entrances heightened the spectators' sense of arrival.
