Venue: 2012 Olympic Stadium
Commission: Architectural Review & On Site Supervision
Sport Concepts was commissioned by the Olympic
Delivery Authority to undertake a client
representative role for the UK Government in the
development of the new London 2012 Stadium.
The 90,000 seat venue hosted the 2012 Olympic athletics competitions and the opening and closing ceremonies.
Work included an architectural review during the design phase with regard to aesthetic, operational, technical and safety aspects of the Populous design.
In addition, Sport Concepts was commissioned to provide on site supervision of the project during construction. This included a full time on site presence to monitor construction quality.
In legacy, the stadium will be converted to West Ham FC's 60,000 seat home ground.
